The Missional Ministry Conference

As its name suggests, the Missional Ministry Conference is designed to help Oklahoma churches develop a missional-incarnational approach to evangelism to compliment or even replace the event-attractional approach that many churches use today.

Begun in 2006, the Missional Ministry Conference has been designed to help equip Oklahoma churches to become the hands and feet of Jesus in their communities. The MMC is different from most other conferences. Don’t expect acres of displays and booths, or to go home with hundreds of dollars of giveaways. There will not be any door prizes. The setting is more like a community where you can learn and network with the keynote leaders and with other missional leaders in Oklahoma.

Each year the MMC features something different, and something that you can use at home. From experiential worship services to videos, the MMC strives to introduce reproducible concepts for the local church leader.

Missional Ministry Conference keynote speakers, past and present:

  • 2006 -- Anthony Jordan and Jeff Iorg
  • 2007 -- Jeff Iorg and Ed Stetzer
  • 2008 -- EdStetzer and Rob Zinn
  • 2009 -- Alvin Reid
  • 2010 -- Alvin Reid and JD Greear
  • The theme for 2009 was Faces of a New Generation. We commissioned a research project of 16 churches (8 SBC and 8 non-SBC) in Oklahoma who are reaching young adults, ages 18-34. This research is the basis of the conference. Many churches are not engaging young people with the gospel and our sample churches will provide great insight in both what, and what not to do!

In addition, each registrant will receive a complimentary One Day worship CD by our worship leaders, the Ryan Smith Band of Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Stillwater.

2010 – Missional Theology: Conveying Truth in a World of Opinion
    March 25-26

The 2010 Missional Ministry Conference is designed around the theme of theology. A biblical and theological survey of 25 Oklahoma churches will be completed and presented at the MMC. In addition, this survey will be available for you to use in your church following the MMC.

    The Cooperative Program
The Missional Ministry Conference is subsidized by the contributions of Oklahoma Southern Baptist Churches to the Cooperative Program. Through this partnership, we are able to offer more together than we can achieve alone.
